There are times in life when you clearly leave one phase to move into the next. What you leave behind tugs your heart and yet you look forward with interest, curiosity and trepidation at what is in store. It sends a chill down your spine when you think about the upside down change but it is a chill of fear mixed with excitement and happiness.
I left my hometown a month back to settle down in a new place, with new people and my companion for life. After two months of crazily hectic and enjoyable preparation, the wedding bells rang on the 30th of November and I entered the world of matrimony with a bang! With the heart warming infalliable support of family and friends, we pulled off the wedding events with full colour and festivity. It will remain to be the most memorable and special occassion in my life.
Then followed an extremly fun filled december full of visits to various places and introductions to people. I felt blessed to have acquired so many new relatives and realised with joy that I had entered into a family just like mine. Close knit, supportive and fun loving.
The colours of nature looked even more brighter and the small joys of life took on an enhanced speaciality as my husband and I bonded with each other. And the journey continues. It feels great to enjoy the many common interests that we have together, as we open up new perspectives to each other. Exploring each other's interest is even more fun. I went on a trek for the first time in my life last month and have now started climbing every rock and boulder in sight to look at beautiful views that God has coloured the earth with. Credits to the husband and his love for adventure. And he in turn seasons every possbile food item with a dash of chilly sauce. Credits to me for that. You are not to notice that my influence has'nt been all that positive :)
After the month long celebration complete with festivities and holidays, I am now slowly settling down. As I slightly start missing home, I thought I should fall into a routine and begin doing the activities that I love the most. So here I am, writing to my heart's content and waking up Ink on Paper from its long slumber :)
This year is going to be very special as I hold hands and walk together with my best friend for life. It is going to be full of changes, discoveries, excitement and adjustments. May God bless us to handle it well and enjoy every step.
Wish you all a very hapy and prosperous new year!!!
